On arrival to your first class at the Aerial Lounge, you will be asked to sign an Informed Consent form to volunteer your self to this type of exercise:

INFORMED CONSENT

The aims of all classes at the aerial lounge (fitness, stretch, dance, aerial hoop, trapeze, silks, sling, yoga, pole fabric, pole flow and pole fitness) are to improve cardio-vascular fitness, muscular fitness, flexibility, motor skills, transitions/movements and help build your confidence on and off the apparatus.

All session will begin with a warm up then a recap of moves learnt the previous week. We will then learn a series of new moves or transitions. This will sometimes follow with a routine, finishing with a cool down, sometimes incorporating stretches to improve flexibility.

Please notify the instructor before the session if you have sustained any injuries, illnesses or medical conditions or if you feel there are parts of the session you are unable to take part in. Participation is completely voluntary. All information given to the instructor is completely private and confidential under data protection legislation.

Please ask as many questions as possible during the session, especially if you do not completely understand any move that is demonstrated. As with all exercise, classes at the aerial lounge carry an element of risk and you may experience some bruising or burn, tenderness around the backs of your knees, feet, shins, waist, the palms of your hands and you may feel slightly achy for a few days afterwards. All session have been designed to minimise those risks and with continued practice your body will become conditioned to the movements involved. If during the session you feel excessive pain or discomfort, please notify the instructor immediately.

You are giving permission for the instructor of your/childs aerial hoop and pole class to teach you moves up to 3meters high; Silks and trapeze up to 5meters high depending on your ability. Please speak with your instructor if you have any concerns. Crash mats should always be available in class when working from heights.

Once you have read and understood the conset form you will then sign to confirm that you have agreed for yourself or child to participate in the session described above and that you understand you or your child are able to withdraw from the session at any time.
